Please note reservations are only available for the main dining room. The lounge and bar areas are first come first serve.

Housed in a historic 19th century townhouse blocks from the waterfront, 219 Restaurant offers modern Southern cuisine with creole influence. Our menu focuses on classic dishes with a southern influence to make for an exceptional dining experience.

We offer private dining rooms in addition to our elegant main floor and offer pre-fixed banquet menus suitable for any event. After your meal, you can unwind in our spacious second story Basin St. Lounge, and be entertained by world class blues/jazz music - seven nights a week - or head downstairs to our Bayou Room, for live DJs and dancing.

Whether you're looking for a casual night out or something a little more intimate, 219 Restaurant has what you're looking for... seven days a week!

                                                Overall positive experience. Good food, atmosphere, and service. We also enjoyed our cocktails. Location is lovely and intimate. We would go again. Quality experience made for a nice evening out.

                                                Excellent food - this was a Valentine’s Day fixed price menu and top notch. Service was friendly and attentive. TV over the bar was slightly distracting - cooking programs? - music was nice. Wear on the walls and furniture shows. It’s been a while since they’ve painted etc. overall quite good, but $100/plate after tax and tip with a single glass of wine each? Well that’s Valentine’s Day for you, I guess.

                                                Just wanted to commend the waiter for our table on Valentine's Day. My wife has seafood allergies, and the waiter ensured that he instructed her of food that were not entangled with seafood per her allergies. Excellent service and always checked on us regularly. Great service by our waiter named Jimmy.

                                                Went for winter restaurant week. Everything was excellent! Gumbo, jambalaya and braised short ribs were amazing! As well as the service. 10/10

                                                We really enjoyed the Restaurant Week menu! The short ribs were amazingly tender and so tasty! Their steak on regular menu was also delicious. We will definitely come back to dine here!

                                                We were visiting the area for my birthday, & found the restaurant online, prior to arriving in town. We were very excited, because we like to try different restaurants when we’re traveling. The most unfortunate experience was the rudeness, indifferent, and non-attentive attitude of our waitress! I typically have the patience of Job, but last night’s experience was the worst that my wife & I have ever had (including overseas)! Additionally, my sister was visiting & she joined us…and couldn’t believe the horrible, unacceptable behavior of the waitress! She did not check on us throughout the evening. And when she did, she acted as if we were inconveniencing her. She did not smile & acted as if we did not matter. If we had a different waitress/waiter, our experience perhaps would have been favorable. We will not return, nor recommend this restaurant!

                                                We sat outside on New Year’s Eve and the patio was wonderfully warm and cozy; it was a nice spot to watch the rain fall. Despite the NYE chaos, the service was fantastic and the food was delicious.

                                                Thoroughly enjoyed my time there - from the warm greetings down to paying the bill. The opening cocktail was PERFECT, Jambalaya was EXCELLENT - generous serving size, Bread Pudding WONDERFUL. I will be back!!

                                                My wife and I were looking for restaurants to go to for Christmas and decided to give this restaurant a try. We have passed it numerous times, but never thought to try it until now. Everything about this place was great. The service was excellent and the drinks and food came out very fast. The food was absolutely delicious and filling. I will definitely me coming back to this restaurant.
