   My friend had the strip loin and I had the NY streak. We shared a caesar salad, au gratin potatoes, and an order of asparagus. For dessert she had the chocolate lava cake and I had the pecan maple pie. Everything was delicious, the decor was very nice, relaxed ambiance, and excellent service

   It was amazing as usual!! There was a card signed by the staff to celebrate my Mom’s 90th birthday. She has never dined here before and totally enjoyed the entire experience! Thanks so much!

   Celebrated a milestone birthday today with family and friends. Everything was fabulous! Service, food and atmosphere could not have been any better. Seated in the sunroom! The sunshine was pouring in! A beautiful day and experience. Thanks to everyone at 529 Wellington who made this day one to remember!!!!💐

   Prime Rib dinner on Sunday was unfortunately very bad. Yorkshire pudding was overcooked, and black on the bottom and sides. Mashed potatoes were an afterthought. As for the actual Prime Rib, it was a gelatinous, flavourless mess. I wish I could have soaked it all in a rich gravy, but that too was bland. Time to step back and check each component of this Sunday ritual and ensure each one is perfect before plating and sending to the patron.

   This was our second time eating here. The first time was a 11/10 experience. This time was a bit less. Our reservation was for opening time and at first our server was exceptional, fast refills for my husband, very attentive and then as the tables filled noise was much higher, server was quite busy and took about 30 mins for me to get a refill and I had to flag him down. My husband got steak and lobster both of which were amazing. I got the Sunday prime rib special, the prime rib was great, the mashed potatoes were great and the first asparagus was really good but the other pieces were very crunchy. The yorkshire pudding was burnt on the bottom half. The button mushrooms were good, not as good as our first visit! Overall we were fairly satisfied with our meal. I think the only disappointment was that I put our special occasion was my birthday and the waiter didn't ask for occasion like the first time I visited, and I assumed they could see that on my reservation. I ordered dessert and by that point assumed he didn't know it was my birthday and didn't want to ask them myself to put anything on my dessert... so I just ordered the lemon cheesecake which was a huge disappointment. Last time I ordered it, I was blown away, I wanted to come back just for the dessert. This time, it was less tart more bland, and the crust was so thick and hard and I couldn't even cut into it with my fork. We just ate around the crust. The most disappointing part of the meal was the dessert. Overall, our experience was more like a 7/10 this time compared to last. Although if this was my first experience I probably wouldn't have chose to come back for the price point.

   Allan is such a wonderful, helpful server. He made my birthday lunch feel special from start to finish! The food, as always was perfection!

   Best food we’ve eaten in Winnipeg. Waiter (Roger) provided excellent service. Dessert was divine.

    Another incredible night to remember at 529 Wellington ! I don't want to share my server's name because she is awesome and I'd love to keep her all to myself! Suffice to say her knowledge, her tableside manner and genuine "dash of sass" made the night even better!!
