                  The night we went, there was a banquet in the room near the resturant and since it is an open area near the banquet rooms, there was a lot of noise from people all over the floor and in the hall. The resturant had more of a cafe type atmosphere very casual and only a few guests in the restaurant. The ambience was pretty nonexistent. Our server did not seem to understand what we were ordering and had to go get someone to interpret for him. Maybe he was new? My husband ordered a very dirty martini and got one that wasn’t dirty at all, if any. Food was ok but our appetizer sat for awhile and the other server went and got it. Service was subpar. Our bill was over a hundred dollars for one drink, one appetizer and two meals. Definitely would not go back there.

                  This was the singularly WORST experience we have EVER had at a restaurant. We had to quit the meal before ordering entrees because the service was so poor. They started off by not being "able to find" our reservation, although, it is completed on OpenTable. After being seated, we were ignored for so long, 25ish minutes, my wife had to go track down a server. The drink order took 30 minutes, our appetizers took 30 minutes more, and the server was nowhere to be seen. The excuse was that they recently reopened after renovations, but if you and your staff are unprepared to reopen, THEN YOU SHOULDN'T. Even though we were starving, we were not about to endure any further misery at Aqua Star. It is so sad to say because for years they have had decent quality service and good quality food. They were at one point, for a few years, our "go-to" for Mother's Day brunch. Best of luck, but never again.

                  This is the only restaurant on site that's open for dinner. Every menu online or on OpenTable is old and doesn't reflect the actual options. They are so understaffed that no one was at the host stand, so I stood there for what felt like an eternity before the bartender said I could sit up there - which meant making a reservation was pointless. The bartender was stressed. He didn't have back stock ready, so when a bottled was empty, he'd run away to see if they had more. It's unfortunate that I had such a poor experience because I have eaten there years before and it was really good. Clearly, they need to hire more staff if they want to continue to service the hotel. If I could have walked to another restaurant, it would have been better, but this Westin is a ferry ride away from civilization/downtown Savannah, so it's not as convenient.

                  The restaurant is very nice but this is the third time that I have been while staying at the Westin and there are not enough waitstaff. It also appears that there is a lot of disorganization on the operation of the restaurant serving floor from the hostess to the servers. The staff was very nice and doing their best but they appear to be woefully understaffed.

                  Not sure why this place is even opened. Showed up for reservation and had to wait 15 minutes for table when only a quarter of the restaurant was being used. Waited over an hour for our food because room service was higher priority than dine in guests. Food was good, server was friendly, management needs improvement. If you want to use the short handed excuse don’t take reservations or warn diners how long it will take because when you have two young children a 2 hour dinner is tough to make them sit through.

                  We waited 20 minutes past our reservation time, and still weren’t seated. Tables near where we were waiting were literally yelling for service. Since the hostess had already advised us the kitchen was running an hour behind, we decided to go elsewhere.
