Beautiful setting and the wait staff tries very hard to please. The kitchen struggles to get orders right and more than once, sent out the wrong dishes. We were a party of 8 and shockingly all had to eat at different times as some entrees came out early, one was wrong and one never came out. The food once served was good. Bar was also challenged. My old fashioned was all cherry syrup - restaurant recovered and brought me a new one. You’ll love sitting by the ocean. It’s beautiful.

The location and ambiance are wonderful. The service was painfully slow. We went long periods without fresh drinks and waited very long for food. One of our main entrees was forgotten and we waited almost an hour before it was brought out undercooked, some sides were forgotten and also took about 45 minutes to come out. Fish portions were TINY.

We brought our catch to cook. They didn’t give us our best fish. Waited over an hour to be seated. Clearly understaffed. Waitress did the best she could.

Service was terrible. Manager had fans at full speed and said couldn’t be turned off and it was freezing outside. Food took forever to come out and then came and my fish and potatoes were cold. Never came to check if we wanted more beverages just very disappointing. Never been like that before and this was my 15th time dining here

Good food but not the ingredients advertised on the menu. The Caribbean rub chicken cake without the advertised fried plantains. The pea and prosciutto salad came without the advertised English peas and snap peas, and came only with the fava beans. No mention or apology by the server for any of those omissions. Odd. But the good as served was good. My wife thought $48 for a roast half chicken was a bit high but it was well prepared (except for the missing plantains) and you are paying for location and ambiance, which are lovely. The key lime pie is very good. The Caribbean coconut custard nearly as good. Far Niente Chardonnay runs $170 which is a bit dear but location, location, location. This is our fourth stay at Cheeca Lodge and good food is part of it, so we will be back.

Excellent food. Service so so. Food prices were unrealistic for portion sizes. Drinks were an even poorer value, visit a nearby Brewery instead. Eat here for convenience and if you have money to waste. Other places nearby were a much better value with far better service. Dinner for 2 with 3 Drinks total and no dessert = $170.

The food was really good! We liked the presentation. However, our waitress tried to be very educated and act like a 5-Star Hotel but was too pushy and inexperienced. She stood next to you sometimes and waited until you had your first bite, and also did other questionable things like giving us the desert card while we were in the middle of eating our main course and there was no rush in the restaurant - it was empty. In addition our plates were served from another young waiter who just put the plates roughly without any class on the table, the same for taking the plates away again.
