   Waitress was very sweet. Hostess not very friendly. Definitely the reason to go is the view and drinks, although a mocktail menu would be nice. Wasn’t able to enjoy the view as we were seated directly in front of crane holding man painting exterior, despite all of the other tables being unoccupied. Menu made food sound much better than it was. Pan seared salmon was not good. No sear and covered in peppers which menu description didn’t mention (I can’t eat them) poke was flavorless and wonton chips were stale. Found it very strange that the appetizer sampler does not come with the sauces listed in the individual order descriptions. Crispy lobster tacos were not crispy. And fries were soggy. Really disappointing. Should have gone to Humphreys.

   We had the best ahi poke since Hawaii. The beef skewers are so tender and the ribs fell off the bone. I’ll go back!!

   I can’t eat gluten or dairy currently. This place was perfect. I got the whole roasted fish - it’s Branzino and cooked to utter perfection. It comes with a side of curry vegetables and I added a serving of steamed rice. For an appetizer I had the poke tuna and they give you lettuce wraps to make it gluten free. It was excellent because it was the perfect light appetizer. My husband ordered a sample platter that he loved. He also got the rum drink with all the different rums. The ambiance is adorable. The service is excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed it here and will be back! I highly recommend! It wasn’t terribly busy but I always make reservations when I can. We were seated immediately upon arrival and they gave us a table right at the window overlooking the water. The best.

   The Asian chopped salad & beef skewers were absolute delicious!! The waiter (Daniel) was super-nice, very patient with all my menu questions, and just a really nice guy!! The view is always spectacular, the noise level was WAY loud, but I doubt anything can be done about that. Otherwise, it’s our favorite restaurant in the San Diego area. Love Bali Hai!!❤️

   We went there for our anniversary. The view is magnificent. The day was beautiful. Choices of food were limited. I had coconut shrimp and it was delicious. My husband had airline chicken and he liked it very much. The anniversary dessert was very good. Our waitress was sweet, but very busy. It was just too darn loud! We couldn’t even talk to each other without yelling. I guess if you’re looking for a hopping place that would be it but we were looking for a romantic dinner and that’s not the place to go for it.

    Sunday Brunch is always great! The crab legs are worth the work. The fresh baked cinnamon rolls are delicious. Those are my two favorite items but everything in the buffet is delicious. The tropical cocktails are strong. The $4 mimosas are a nice pour. The view of the bay and downtown skyline is spectacular. We saw a pod of dolphins frolicking around dozens of sailboats and other water craft. Overall had a wonderful time.
