An always popular restaurant on the style-forward Kings Road in London’s Chelsea, Benihana offers an exciting take on Japanese dining. A concept originated way back in the 1960s over in the Big Apple, Benihana brings together food and performance, pioneering ‘eatertainment’. Ideal for families, Benihana is sleek and stylish with a modern interior, but chances are you won’t be paying much attention to your surroundings – most diners are too busy being charmed by the tableside teppan-yaki cookery which sees the chefs create real drama before your very eyes. Great family night out. Food was excellent and our chef Arthur put on an amazing show for us whilst cooking our food. All staff were friendly and attentive.

Dinner was nice, Angelo our chef was very skilled, helpful and professional. So far one of the best chefs we've got in Benihana during all the years we've been going. Good atmosphere.

Enjoyable as usual, food was great, service was great…… does get very expensive with a drink or two and any sides added to the set menus

This place used to be my favourite. But it’s so run down now and the extraction fans don’t work. The restaurant gets full of smoke. Its staff don’t care, I waited at my table for 20 mins for drink. The chefs don’t really put on a show anymore, they just go through the motions. As I say the worse is the air inside from all the smoke, if the fans work they are rubbish. Plus it smells of cooking fat as soon as you walk in. Such a shame.

The wagyu steak was the best thing on the menu, the black cod was the second best. The 25ppp set course meal was great value and decent portion and quality food. Our chef was sweet and fun, not a crazy showman but all was well. The only normal comment is that their fans are not strong enough to suck the frying smells and air quickly so expect your clothes to smell after this. Great for a date night, with family or friends. They can bring desert with a candle if you are doing any celebrations. The experience start to finish takes about 40 minutes. After that, you take your time to enjoy the meal. ++++ their old fashioned was really good!

Uncle Jojo our chef was fantastic, an experience I’ve never had before. Dave our waiter was also really attentive and kind. Well done team!

The food was amazing as well as the experience however there is a serious issue with the ventilation and the amount of smoke indoor. After leaving the place you stink from the amount of smoke. Other than that it’s always a good experience the kids love.
