   The food was good the service was marginal. It took over thirty minutes between appetizers and main course even after repeated requests. The manager Samatha was requested to meet us. She blamed the waiter and offered no offer of apology. Very disappointing for a restaurant we often visit. The management needs to learn how to make good for poor service.

   We had a 7 pm reservation so the restaurant wasn't that crowded. When I booked thru OpenTable, I selected "standard" seating which I discovered is simply a booth per the Black Angus front desk upon arrival. So, we sat at a booth in the bar section of the restaurant. To sit in the dining room. you have to either add comments in OpenTable or call the restaurant directly. Food was adequate: we had the Campfire Feast for Two, enjoying prime rib (yes, there was an upcharge). Our server Elizabeth was outstanding. Total cost was $84 for two (before tip). We did not have alcohol. The best value offerings seem to be dinner Monday - Friday before 6 pm (happy hour).

   Steak fry appetizer was too salty. There was gristle in the steak on our stk Cobb salads. Salads looked a decent size but the bowl was so shallow it was actually quite small for what they charge. It had more toppings than lettuce. Had to cut my salad with knife to make proper sized bites. They didn’t have cranberry juice to make my friends cosmopolitan. They brought our appetizer and we finally got utensils 10 min later when server walked by and we were able to flag him down.

   Our female server was very pleasant and brought food so that we didn't feel rushed. We haven't been to this restaurant in a long time and will return. The food was excellent and served hot despite the huge crowd outside in the lobby as it was Valentines Day. We had the valentines surf and turf with salad and sides of mac and cheese and au gratin potatoes - everything including the extra large shrimp cocktail appetizer was tasty!

   We visited in Valentines Day. The restaurant was packed people waiting everywhere. Our experience was great. Although it took more time than usual and the temperature of our food wasn’t right, our dining experience was still good. Our server was pleasant and working so hard to make everyone happy.

   Never go to Black Angus on a holiday. Under staffed food took over an hour to come out. We like Black Angus on a regular day but definitely will not go back on a holiday.

    All was fine. However, we were asked if we needed take-home containers for any leftover food, a bit too early. They seemed to have been in a rush. However, there were some open tables, and they were not that busy. So, I did not know what the rush was. We wanted to enjoy our time at the restaurant. I do not think that others were rushed as we were. Plus, I noticed they did not bring us a side, which I ordered. However, they brought it when mentioned. There was a bit of misunderstanding on the cost of upgrades. However, it was resolved to satisfaction. Filet minion could have been at a better quality. We are not sure if we would upgrade to it again.
