Bud's at Silver Run is a casual elegant restaurant located just north of Westminster, MD and south of Gettysburg, PA. Opened in May of 2008 "Bud's at Silver Run" invites you to enjoy great dining in a casual, friendly atmosphere. Local resident Blinn Salisbury III and partner Ken Lurie are pleased to become part of the community and to revive this great location. We have searched for the right restaurant and are happy that we have found it in Silver Run. Ken brings more than thirty years of varied restaurant experience with him to Bud's. From learning under Karl Beckley at the Greenlake Grill in Seattle to Food & Beverage Director of the Virgin Grand in the Virgin Islands, Ken is excited to return to Maryland. Our goal is to enhance and enrich your dining by offering a quality restaurant experience. We hope to meet and exceed your expectations in each of your visits. Whether you live in the area or if you are just passing through we look forward to making Bud's your place!

Valentine’s day menu was well worth it. Had a great time and even stopped by at the bar after. Dinner and drinks were top notch for great prices! Service was amazing for dinner and drinks, highly recommend.

Buds food, & service is on point! We love coming here. All the wait staff is pleasant. Bud is charismatic and the food is amazing! We have been here many times and tried multiple dishes . Always delicious! A fave place.

Wonderful atmosphere in the dining room, and food superb. This will probably be our new “go-to”. Upscale dining with a casual vibe…lovely!

Our 3rd time to Bud's and another outstanding visit. Staff was very welcoming and attentive. More crowded than last visit (during covid) but just felt cozier. Our server convinced my wife to try a daily special appetizer (something with crab and goat cheese) and a special entree (halibut). She recommended a wine that my wife liked so much, we bought a bottle to take home. They checked on us periodically, but weren't overbearing. My seafood saute (appetizer) and filet mignon (entree) were both on point. We were too stuffed for dessert but look forward to our next visit.

Given the reviews we were excited to try Bud’s. Nicely decorated, cloth tables/napkins. We thought seating was a bit tight, and conversation was difficult due to the proximity and volume of other patrons. Service has a slow start and that’s fine, it would have given us time to converse had we not been so close to our neighbors and unable to NOT hear all their conversations. Our server was pleasant and stopped by often, even asking around/over us after our neighboring tables satisfaction, so again, too close to other tables. The server did ok sharing specials, tried lighthearted conversation during her introduction and iteration of the available dishes and preparation techniques. Our food was where things went a little off. The filet was overdone, ordered MR, came out M to MW, the salmon was ordered MR and it came out well, after our server proclaimed and reassured, often, how great the chef is at temperature of the entrees. A $55 steak needs to be cooked to perfection, so this was a disappointment, flavor was good however. The Salmon dish said nothing on the menu about having squash and red peppers included, only the “wild rice”, and my partner cannot have red peppers so this spoiled a large portion of her dish, especially when added to the overcooked salmon. She did enjoy the flavor of the sauce over the fish. The New England crab soup had good flavor, could have had more crab, but it was good. The Sprout salad was the best part of the meal for my partner, and the shrimp app was ok, a little overcooked as well, but ok and the price was very reasonable. We did have to ask a couple times for different items before they made themselves to our table, but it would not have been notable had the main courses been better, or even near perfect. Unfortunately no management was brought to the table after our server asked after our satisfaction, and we shared our disappointment of the main dishes doneness, or perhaps I would feel they wished to improve.

Dining at Buds in Silver Run was a delightful experience. I have lived in Westminster for 5 years and have traveled to many Restaurants in a 30mile Radius. This has been the most impressive in every aspect. Upon entrance you are greeted with two separate dining areas that are set with white table clothes with linen napkins and full setting of glassware and silverware. The dining rooms are very quiet with no loud music or TV making for a very relaxed environment. There is an extensive menu of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, and main entrees. I was especially impressed with Oyster selection. There are very few restaurants in this area that serve oysters. I have had the Rockefeller and Moscow servings, and they are the best I have ever tasted. I have had the Veal Chop and Halibut fish for my main course, and they were outstanding. The Chop is very large and succulent. The Halibut fish was prepared perfectly. My wife and I shared the Peanut pie that was absolutely delicious. I have eaten at Buds twice and I am certainly going to be a regular customer.
