Daniel Bouludがシェフを務めるCafé Bouludは最近改装されたフランス風居酒屋で、トロントのヨークビル地区のフォーシーズンズ・ホテル内に位置しています。季節ごとに変わるメニューはフランスの伝統に基づいたもので、ビストロの定番料理と、リヨンで育ったシェフDanielが食べていた家庭の味を取り入れたモダンな料理を提供しています。 手入れの行き届いた回転ロースターでは、ローストチキン、ロブスターの丸焼き、ラム酒風味のパイナップルをゆっくり焼き上げています。朝食、ランチ、ディナーの時間帯に毎日営業しており、日曜にはブランチを提供しています。 ロンドン在住のMartin Brudnizkiが設計を手掛けました。快適なラウンジ、店内を取り囲む長椅子、ダイニングカウンターがヴィンテージな雰囲気を作り出しています。また、最大8名で利用可能な半個室もあります。改装後には、Notable Awardsの「カナダのベストレストラン」や、「カナダのベストレストラン100店」などに選ばれています。

Terrine-based starters are a signature, while the whole roasted King Cole duck and rotisserie Voltigeur chicken lead the entrée selection. A strong list of French and local wines keeps everyone happy.

                                                  食事はとても美味しく、お店の方は皆さん親切でした。ポロシャツ、ワンピースくらいの格好の現地の方が多く、心地よい雰囲気でした。

                                                  Went for the valentine’s day dinner, It cost $285 per person, however i didn’t find that the food was worth it? Very long, inconsistent wait time between dishes (30-40 min wait for one of them) and most of the dishes have either been put in a microwave or under a heating lamp. The lobster was tough and chewy (likely from the microwave?) The plate was piping hot.. we were also offered champagne but was not advised that it wasn’t complimentary, so that was a surprise when i see that there’s an extra $200 charge on our bill. Service was friendly, but there were way too many different people bringing our dishes to our table. It was a busy night and one of the waiters accidentally gave us someone else’s course, so they took it out of our table and gave it to the couple.. Not what you’d expect from a high end restaurant charging these exorbitant prices. Some of the waiters also didn’t really take note of the ambiance of the environment. Some were very loud with thick accents and I could barely understand what he was saying. He would point and touch at the menu on the other side of our table, and explain the dish but he would be pointing to the wrong dish. Confusing first course with the second course, etc. I would not recommend this restaurant and don’t see myself coming back. A disappointing Valentine’s day dinner.

                                                  The lunch was lovely but limited in options. I would have liked to have seen more options or different. There weren’t a lot of healthy options. I love dining out but am on a relatively strict diet and there wasn’t anything on the menu for me. Fortunately the Chef was kind enough to accommodate my diet restrictions, and I appreciated it.

                                                  Convenient to grab brunch before a spa day at the four seasons. However, I don't think the brunch options are worth the prices. The portions are small, and the flavour was not as good as other hotel breakfasts nearby (the hazelton has a great breakfast).
