Nothing was very good about our Saturday evening dining experience. I ordered the Coq Av Vin, which didn’t even come close to the French recipe version. Café des Beaux Arts’ menu advertises the dish with pearl onions, bacon, and mushrooms. There wasn’t a pearl onion to be seen; however, I found a small mushroom slice. The sauce was tasteless, the vegetables overcooked, and the pasta undercooked. The service was mediocre, and the table beside us had a dog that would never sit still. The dog was catered to by the wait staff, who brought him a bowl of water as he sniffed my spouse’s leg. Not a pleasant evening.

Our nice experience started out with the host who was elegant and exceptionally friendly. The wines are reasonably priced. The food was delicious and served in a very attractive way. I had the Halibut special and it was phenomenal. Just the right spices and cooked to just the right temperature. The menu has a large variety and it is a fun atmosphere.

Very nice cozy indoor and covered open-aired dining areas. Nice sized tables. Service is very good. My escargot and duck l-orange were excellent.

The entire staff there is always so nice and friendly! We love it. It’s our favorite place to go before going to the McCallum Theater!

We were celebrating a Birthday; she knew this Restaurant, but I didn't. It was a most wonderful surprise! Such wonderful hosts...checking in that we were happy with the Table, the food and the Service. Our Waiter, Jose, was fantastic and the food was delicious and prepared carefully and generously. We are looking forward to our next visit; hopefully before they close for the hot summer months!
