A Classic French Bistro in the heart of Edison Park has been a dream of Executive Chef and owner Joe Calabrese for several years. Joe was professionally trained at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America located in Hyde Park, New York. Before opening his other restaurant, Zia’s Trattoria (located one block west of Café Touché at 6699 N. Northwest Highway) in 1997, he was sharpening his professional – and knife – skills at several well-respected Chicago dining establishments including Ambria, Spiagia, Un Grand Cafe and the Park Hyatt.
Joe lives in Park Ridge, a few short miles from the restaurants, so expet to see him in both restaurants assuring a quality experience for his customers. On days off, Joe can be found at home with his wife, Mary Kay and their 3 boys.

Absolutely magnificent lunch. Delicious house made pate appetizer. Creamy melt in your mouth quiche with a bounty of salad that could have made a meal in itself. Make sure you save room for the chocolate pate dessert. This is the type of restaurant you wish you had in your own neighborhood so you could go there often. Even though it was a 30 minute ride from me, I’ll be back.

We come here regularly as it is the most consistent and delicious restaurant we have found in the area. Never ever had a bad meal! Great service! Priced like other fine dining restaurants and worth it!

Went to Cafe Touché on a friend’s recommendation. Really glad we did. I have probably hit every French restaurant in the northern Chicago land area in search of the perfect place. There a few I like, but there was always something lacking from the menu or of just average presentation from l what I wanted. That changed last night with the first of many to come visits to cafe touché. Every classic French dish you could want with very generous portions and a really cool atmosphere. The place was packed, which is always a good sign, and the service was excellent. The drinks generous as well. I only wish i discovered it long ago, but better late than never. Already excited to return. Well done!!
