   日本から来たゲストの夕食にご案内しましたが、食べられない食材が入ったお料理を交換して下さったり、トロントに詳しくないゲストの為にタクシーを拾うのを手伝って下さったり、サービスに大満足していました。 テイスティングメニューとワインペアリングがとても良かったそうです。 また利用したいと思います。

   Great lunch at Canoe today. The excellent new head chef Rod and his team are already putting some new touches to the menu and expanding the range of always delicious choices with some more delicate and lighter tasty fare. Can't wait for the new tasting menu to be released. The service and ambience amazing as always.

   The was one of the greatest experiences we have ever had. We got to sit “on the rail” and watch all of the activities in the kitchen. The organized chaos of the service from beginning to end was fascinating. It was my wife’s birthday and everyone made our visit a truly special lifetime experience. We enjoyed the Tasting Menu with som very special wine pairings many of which were fabulous selections from Ontario. We very much want to thank everyone at Canoe for all of their efforts to make our visit a truly memorable lifetime experience. We will definitely be back and look forward to the upcoming Spring Tasting Menu. Maria and Tony

   As always great service, wonderful food and unparalleled views. Such a luxurious place. Sitting in the bar area at the high bar table facing the lake drinking lovely wine- it doesn’t get any better than that. I also like that we are not obliged to order food. It is of course not cheap but on the other hand considering the prices of any meal these days, it’s a splurge that’s worthwhile.

   From the moment of arrival the service and attentiveness is outstanding. We were even 30 minutes early and our table was already available. The food is meticulously prepared and the servers ensure you understand each of the components and how they have been carefully prepared for you. Everything was smooth well timed and never intrusive. Such a perfect evening for us to just enjoy.

    First our reservation was handled well, we were a little late, but did call to advise of the situation. Waiter took his time coming to us. We ordered the tasting menu for the table. The first two course were ok, the oyster, could would not know it was an oyster except for the shell. The soup, served in a raw acorn squash, interesting. The soup was wonderful, next camp the chicken wing, which was ok the sauce was the best thing. Next lobster, which was tough and stringy and had no taste. The veal was next it was raw and we had to send it back, the new veal was tough and still under cooked. Not great at all. carrot cake was so small you could not find it under the mountain of carrot foam. The servers did not have a full grasp of the dishes they were presenting and when asked questions they looked confused. To top all this off you are not given a choice as to the level of tip you wish to give, a 20% is the first choice you have. I have been to Canoe many times, I have even held private parties there. To say the least I will not be back any time soon. One of the chefs came out of the kitchen to serve a couple seated at the kitchen and he was to say the least messy and looked like a short order cook in a diner. Nothing wrong with short order cooks in a diner love that food. But when you are paying the kind of prices Canoe sets I think you need a bit more. I think it needs an overhaul to bring it back to where the prices are. thanks
