Been to Capriccio at various times over the many years and we have enjoyed it. This time not so much. The maitre d sat us at a table closest to the waiters stand when the restaurant was empty, the wait staff was walking by constantly and talking loudly to one another, this did not make for a comfortable meal at all. Capriccio has been known for their experienced waiters, 1st time ever we had a waitress which there is nothing wrong with at all. She was not experienced and it definitely showed, we were extremely surprised at the inexperience. Food was good but the whole service and atmosphere ruined it for us.

Tonight our dinner service was not like most of our visits. A couple meals not cooked accordingly out of the kitchen but the staff were very accommodating to making things right. Always professional and top notch service. We will be back. Thank you.

Best restaurant experience! Fantastic, classic old school Italian. Service is unbeatable! Ask for Chris, he’ll keep you laughing all night! Our favorite spot for special occasions! First table to arrive & last to leave every time! Thank you!

We were immediately greeted by valet, coat check staff, waitstaff and seated. We informed them we were expecting our grandson and he was ushered in as a prince. The food and service were excellent ! I highly recommend this restaurant.

Felt a but rushed for the meal. Meeting up with friend and trying to catch up before delving into the menu. Entree was excellent but didnt love app. My fault i didn't read the full description.

Can always count on capriccios to deliver a great night. Everyone from Carl the valet to Sal the owner/manager - Great food , great service every time ! One of the true RI experiences that is still amazing every time.

I’m so disappointed in my experience dining for the first time at Capriccio. I booked this reservation with high hopes—romantic ambiance of the main dining area, craft cocktails, table side flambé and a top-tier dining experience. From the beginning valet was unnecessarily rude, and yes, I get it—it was snowing. But that’s no excuse to act like a d***. After finally getting inside, I expected to be seated in the beautifully decorated, ambient-lit area I saw online. Instead, we were exiled to a sad, low-ceilinged backroom, lit up like a doctor’s office, featuring about four tables and some half-hearted Valentine’s Day decorations that looked like they were from the discount bin at Party City. Despite the lackluster atmosphere, our server was great—friendly, knowledgeable, and the only saving grace of this meal. I asked for the cocktail menu, and I was informed that because it was a Valentine’s Day night (again, this was February 15th), there was no cocktail menu. I was able to get a Lemon Drop because I knew the name of the drink. Then came the food. My boyfriend ordered a $60 steak medium well (yes, I know, but to each their own), and it arrived very pink—medium-rare. Kitchen also forgot his truffle fries also, which didn’t show up until he was practically done with the steak. My gnocchi? Mushy and bland. We did eat it, was not horrible but was not good. By this point, I was still holding onto hope for dessert, the main reason I came. I had my heart set on their flambé crepes—a tableside experience that should have been on their Valentine’s Day menu. Make that make sense that your signature cocktails and desserts are unavailable on a holiday. For a place that charges premium prices, I expected a premium experience. We made the best of it but spent over 300$, mostly on drinks. Instead Capriccio gave me, “we overbooked for Valentine’s and are still recovering” Would I return? Only if I sat in the main dining area and if they have their full menu.
