   We have been coming here for years. Previously their menu was large, but in the last coulpe of years they have adopted a much smaller menu. Food choices for our party of 4 were all good, and our waiter was excellent. But we remember the "old days" so we were mildly disappointed.

   Awesome experience all around. This is little Italy in South Bend. Truly authentic and the bakery is fabulous! Also discovered this family has ONE LOCATION so don’t get it confused with others in the area. This is the real deal!

   The food was wonderful! The homemade mozzarella sticks are the best! Our main entrees were very good-the veal parm and shrimp scampi were tasty, and the portions were just right. The service was excellent- a very attentive and friendly server helped make our evening special.

   Our party of four was starving and tired after a long day of moving-in kind of activities and really eager to have a good Italian meal. We arrived late (8 pm) to a very warm, welcoming, lively dining room. The decor seemed old school but fun (painted sky on ceiling), lit trees high up along the walls, some little alcoves around the perimeter for slightly more private dining. The bar across the way looked fun and inviting. We had some excellent mixed drinks that were delivered quickly. (Old-fashioned for me made with my favorite Makers Mark, which was obvious :)) Wine choices were pretty good, including a nice and reasonably-priced Chianti that we've had in the past. We had, for the most part, simple Italian classics - bruschetta (excellent tomatoes, great amount of garlic, atop perfect toasts), spaghetti and meatballs, shrimp scampi, pasta with bolognese... nothing fancy but prepared well and in generous serving sizes. Side green salad (only $3 more with any entree) was also well-prepared with a delicious white balsamic dressing. We did not make it to dessert, sadly. Best part of the meal was the SERVICE by Abby. She was terrific and took care of everything for us.

    Our server, Kaylie, was training a new server at the time but, that did not diminish the great service we received. I can see why she is chosen to train new servers. Our meals were delicious, as usual.
