Chelsea Tavern is a local popular gastropub located in downtown Wilmington, directly across from the Grand Opera House. The kitchen prepares delicious comfort food consisting of locally grown and house made ingredients, that is complemented by our dynamic craft beer selection. Chelsea’s ever-changing inventory features 33 beers on tap, hundreds of large format bottles, cans, and single serving bottles of seasonal and local brews. Chelsea is a neighborhood favorite that is perfect for a quick lunch, weekend brunch with friends, pre-show dinner, or a group gathering. Servicer was very nice but forgot portions of our order. Disappointed the restaurant charges a 20% service fee (or gratuity). If you’re going to mandate that kind of charge the service should be exceptional. Making that an automatic charge allows your waiters to be subpar. Cannot recommend this restaurant.

Great food at a very reasonable price. We had wonderful alert service. The location is perfect for local theaters, too.

The Crob Dip was full of crab and delicious. The salad my wife ordered and the fish and chips i had were large portions and tasty.

Not a busy evening for New Year’s Eve. The kitchen was slow getting out our food. Server was mediocre. He didn’t seem like he wanted to be there and never followed up on how was our food. Food and drinks were phenomenal. My and family and I left stuffed. Will return again but not any time soon because of the service.
