Cultured perfectionists. Chino Latino is a well established, constantly evolving and multi-award-winning Pan-Asian restaurant and cocktail bar and has the reputation as one of the best restaurants in Nottingham. Chino Latino is the place to go when you want a laid back drink or an exquisite meal in upbeat, glamorous surroundings.
An extensive a la carte menu combines flavours from Japan, China, Thailand & Vietnam to produce a range of dishes that will appeal to any appetite. Knowledgeable staff are always willing to make recommendations and assist with ordering.
The place itself is Uber Trendy with a decor of gunmetal grey, crimson and cream and fashionably under lit. Chino Latino has perfected the art of a sophisticated and cosmopolitan dining experience.

The food was really good aside the inside out wings which weren’t inside out, our last server Rachel was amazing and saved the service with her loveliness however in general, staff training is obviously lacking! After drinks we waited around 20mins for our food order to be taken by which time we called someone over. Our bottle of wine (lid still on) and glasses were plonked on the table and left, the food came in the wrong order and then, when the final pancake for crispy duck was stuck to the basket and I asked for just one more it took another 20 minutes to get one (a basket full that were too late I might add). At this time we spoke to Rachel (who was not responsible for any of these things) who then ensured the rest of our night went smoothly. I have to say that we were given 20% off for the problems we incurred (we were very grateful and gave it back in tip). All in all great food in a restaurant that lacks atmosphere and staff training!! Nice girls that just haven’t been shown what to do sadly! I’d give it another shot though because the food is really good 😊

Chino is such a lovely restaurant. We love Pan-Asian food and Chino ticks all the boxes for us! Amazing food, great service and a lovely ambience. The staff are all very attentive and Rachel is perfect for front of house - she has a friendly smile and makes you feel really welcome :) We dine here regularly and will continue to do so!

No atmosphere whatsoever. Slow service. So so slow. One of our party has an allergy and we were told - 'there's nothing you can eat, except certain sushi'. Granted the chef did (eventually) offer a simple steak and it was cooked well, but this was a very special birthday celebration and we felt ignored and they couldn't wait for us to leave. It was not busy at all, and yet we waited ages even for our first drinks. Definitely don't recommend. Sorry, but we did not have a good time

First time back to Chino post covid over 4 years. Menu changed slightly which was good but would like to see beef in a basket back. Also really would like to see the old special offers back with percentage off for dining in certain months of the year as wasn’t busy. Would increase no of diners and help with cost of living. Still a great place to visit food and service excellent.

We love Chino Latino and we had another great meal again last night. It's a fantastic dining experience and the whole concept is perfect. We love the Pan Asian cuisine and the tapas style makes it a very enjoyable experience. The service is always excellent and Rachel was the perfect host as always. She is friendly, courteous and efficient - nothing is too much trouble. We will be back very soon! John, Liz and Adam Miller

Amazing food and staff. Food arrived promptly and beautifully presented. The only problem is that the bar at the entrance of Chino Latino is shared with the Park Plaza hotel and there was a rowdy group gearing up for the evening, underdressed for the type of restaurant we were in and thinking it was ok to shout and laugh as if they were at Wetherspoons. It did not allow us to enjoy our meal in peace. I hope the restaurant reconsiders and does not allow this kind of people/large groups to have a pint at the restaurant’s bar if they intend to dine elsewhere and not observe the etiquette of a nice establishment.

Expensive and ok food; generally quite good (sushi rolls & KR belly pork very nice) but Panang Curry watery). Service was also quite hit & miss; nice friendly staff but I don't think trained to a high standard you would expect for the price tag. Worst of all, one of our main dishes didn't come with any rice as they'd "run out". I DO NOT think this was a problem with the waiting staff getting the order incorrect, but rather the kitchen messing up the order and then lying about it; as the table next to us subsequently got dishes with rice after us. Overall, a disappointing meal let down by a myriad of small faults which ended up ruining the dining experience.

The overall experience was very special with great ambience and excellent service. The food was also phenomenal and with very reasonable portion sizes. Overall would highly recommend this restaurant.

As one other reviewer has already said the food and service were pretty good, but the ambience is not right. The restaurant is located behind the reception area of the Plaza Hotel, in fact when I rang the restaurant they answered as 'room service'. I rang to tell them it was my daughters 18th and could they do anything special (cake, balloon, welcome drink etc), they said they would, but didn't ! The staff were very charming and attentive, but towards the end of the meal they seemed to get a bit distracted laying out the tables for the hotel breakfast the next morning , which again spoiled the vibe and seemed to slow down the service.
