    Food is 5 star. Service is 5 stars. Everything is appropriate for a 5 star rating … except… one thing…. When I bring a special bottle of wine in for my birthday… don’t charge me $45 for a corking fee! $10 is standard. $25 is upper tier… $45 is stupid. Seriously that’s my only complaint. I go to Christos because it is superb quality. I am fine with paying more for high quality. But $45 for a corking fee… not reasonable.

    Lovely old fashioned fine woods dining room in residential Astoria. Greeted warmly when entering , shown to our table ensuring we were seated comfortably, and promptly being attended by a charming young waitress. She brought a paper menu to make our choices easier for us than using the iPad menu. She explained our choices and expedited our water and cocktails and wonderful warm bread with delicious , smooth fragrant olive spread. The shrimp Cocktail had large succulent and slightly sweet crisp shrimp. The porterhouse steak was cooked perfectly and did not need a knife it was so tender and juicy. The creamed spinach was superlative - fresh chiffonade spinach perfectly dressed in a heavenly light cream and dressed with crisp onions. The mashed potatoes were unblemished off white , creamy and light and whipped smooth. The grilled asparagus seemed picked from Eden and lightly charred to crisp tender. The meal was capped off by a perfect creme brûlée and smooth velvety coffee. I can’t wait to go back. All the while our waitress ensured staff discreetly cleaned off table and switched our plates and utensils and refilled water. Thank you for a perfect evening as we celebrated a special friend’s birthday.

    Excelente..... Ruben nuestro mesero nos atendió super bien. La comida deliciosa...los postres...todo absolutamente todo. Los felicito 5 estrellas en todo.

    What a perfect way to spend our anniversary! The staff were so friendly and attentive, and they helped us feel celebrated. The food was wonderful and plentiful. Highly recommend Christos Steakhouse!! Thank you so much for a perfect evening.

    I thought Christos was average on that night. The drinks were lacking much alcohol and there was not a good pour. The appetizer was ok but the Branzino was thin and had a lot of bones in it. It was hard to eat it with all the bones. The waiter was not attentive and didn't even ask how it was till he came for dessert. I will chalk it up to a bad night and if I have the opportunity to go there again, I would. Bill Young

    Out of all the steakhouses we’ve been to, and we’ve gone to many, this one is the best. Always consistent with a great cut of meat, delicious sides, salads, appetizers and fantastic service. Only steakhouse we will go to.
