In 1992, thrown together on Cape Cod by political circumstances none of them could have predicted, four young Yugoslavs founded Pain D'Avignon.Their goal was to recreate the Old World Traditions using baking techniques and recipes barely changed in centuries. Their founding principle: fine breads deserve to be at the center of the dining experience, not a mere afterthought. At their Hyannis bakery, the timeless art of bread making is both revered and respected. Everyday salt, flour and filtered water are combined – like the bakers themselves – with a distinctly European flavor.

Embargo is open and is the place to be on Cape Cod, featuring a chic and sophisticated atmosphere with amazing food and handcrafted cocktails. Our menu features dry aged steaks cooked to perfection, mouth watering tapas, and of course, fresh local seafood. Each meal becomes an event when shared with friends and family!PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO HIGH DEMAND, we do not guarantee reservations for outdoor patio seating. Tables are sat on a first come, first serve basis. If you have a reservation and request outdoor seating, you may endure a brief waiting period. We are a Caribbean restaurant located downtown Hyannis at 662 Main St. We are open to the public Sunday-Thursday 4PM-9PM, Fridays and Saturdays 11AM-9PM. We have dine in, take out, delivery, and online services. Our extensive menu has Caribbean and American favorites. On Thursdays through Sundays we have entertainment for the entire family. Our outdoor patio overlooks Main St with firepits, and outdoor bar. Our chef is the owner, Allanah Bodah who is a native from Jamaica. Our top sellers are Braised Oxtail, Fry Chicken, and our many BBQ dishes.We host many different size parties. In addition, we have a private function room if need be. This was our first time to Embargo, we went there because of the positive reviews. My wife and I each had a martini and we shared four tapas, and then shared a “creamy espresso martini” for dessert. The food was fantastic and our server Michelle was great. She didn’t rush us but always seemed to appear at just the right time. This restaurant is highly recommended..
