We also offer traditional Thai and Chinese recipes that make you feel at home. Chef Sara created her own recipes from her apartment in 2010 by cooking for her family and friends. Generations of movie stars such as Humphrey Bogart and Clark Gable have eaten meals at The Formosa.     Went to one of the last days of the experience. It maintained a high level of quality service. The waiting staff was always prompt and helpful. It was nice to see staff that seemed to be as enthusiastic to be at the experience as we were. The ambiance felt like I was in the cleanest version of a dubious bar. The effort for setting and dressing the experience was very clear. It wasn't just thrown together, all the design decisions felt thought out. Would visit another experience created by companies involved.

    From check-in to checkout, everything was seamless. Server and managers touched the table multiple times. Food came out fast. The best items were the wagyu teppanyaki and the whole snapper. I thought music was gonna be loud but it was just perfect volume but then we came in at 5pm on Saturday night so everything and everyone was still family-friendly.

    I had such an amazing experience at this restaurant. The ambience was amazing with a live artist. The Bolognese was phenomenal and the cocktails were very unique and refreshing. Pricing was mid, but definitely worth it for the experience. I will definitely be back probably this weekend.

    Took my daughter for her 18th birthday with 4 of her friends & her father. Let me tell you what, it was literally the most beautiful restaurant we have visited in LA. We will be back 🤍

    Second time here, did not disappoint. Bartender Minnie is so skilled making both beautiful and delicious beverages. Brandon is so attentive and kind taking care of every need without even having to be asked. The food is 10/10 for sure. Everything came out piping hot and pretty fast. All our entrees arrived at the same time, impressive for our family of six! We will definitely be back! (PS we traveled all the way from Palm Springs to come back this time and will do it again!)
