We dined on Saturday evening. The food is not too fancy. Pretty straight forward. Good servings. The entrees were basic, fried cauliflower & calamari. The broccoli with the main (chicken) was not cooked, could cut it with a knife so had to leave it. The chicken was fine and tasty, my partner had the beef cheek, on mashed potatoe, he said it was good. The dessert was white chol. metifluer (can't pronounce it) too difficult to eat with a spoon, our hands were sore after trying to cut through the pastry, but it tasted nice. This is supposed to be 5 star hotel, I don't think it is. I would say it's 4 star. The server who took our order was really lovely and pleasant. The guy bringing the water around was friendly, but smelt of bad BO, and it wafted around as he was walking around, that can put you off your meal. We weren't let hungry which is a positive.

All good, I come here with my nieces twice a year, it is fun and close to ACMI and NGV

We have a really great dinner, so happy I booked Gilson. We had a table of 6 and we all enjoyed the food and it was so busy, but we still had good attention from our waiters. Also the Spagetti Cacio Pepi was amazing. 😁🫶🏻

We ordered Chilli Scamble and a Goodness Bowl with grilled Halloumi - both very yummy. It was a hot day and we sat in the inside, close to the entrance. Hardly any air flowing. It would help to have ceiling fans to aid in seating comfort. Otherwise, lovely customer service and good food.

Very nice High Tea for special occasion. Quite pricey so would only go there for special occasion. Staff were friendly and chatty, but not very attentive. Had to ask for drinks menu twice (first person obviously forgot.) Had to walk to other side of restaurant to order second drink as no staff were in the vicinity for some time.
