At the heart of the offerings are Cumbrian steaks from Britain’s Lake District, featuring single-serve options like the 8oz dry-aged fillet sirloin and Hereford fillet on the bone, alongside the Boston rib Côte de boeuf, priced per 100g for sharing with the table.As for those less carnivorously inclined, we’d recommend the romesco-spiked Globe artichoke barigoule to start and the Cornish Turbot on the bone dotted with Atlantic surf clam pil pil to share.

A modern pub serving a frequently changing menu, available in our dining room, bar, and outside ledges. It's not fine dining, nor is it trying to be. We cook in a way that we as cooks like to eat, so don’t be afraid to share. If you want to pop in for a burger and a pint, feel free to grab any available space in the bar or outside. We accept bookings for tables of up to six people in the dining room.It can be loud and slightly chaotic; at night it is dark. We were greeted by really lovely members of the team, I arrived a fair bit early and there was no problem with me sitting at the table whilst I waited for my party to arrive. The food was good and the service continued to be top notch. We were surprised as had walked past the restaurant so often in the past, definitely one to come back to.

We ordered the croquets and the cod goujon. Both were lovely, although the goujon was very flat which made it a little dry. Half of us order steak, cooked to three different levels, mine was blue, and warm which was great, the others were rare and medium-rare, all cooked perfectly. The burgers that my fiends has looked great and apparently they tasted really good. The wine was nice and the bill was reasonable for five people, several bottles of wine, coming in around £60 per head. Happily recommend this place.
