Welcome to your friend neighborhood bar and sandwich shop. Tucked away on Lafayette Park, just a block from the downtown and seaport neighborhoods of Salem, MA, The Babe is the perfect place to rendezvous after work for a cocktail, grab a bite with friends, or get together for a late night celebration. We take pride in our scratch kitchen with a menu inspired by Northeast sandwich culture and cuisine; touching on fan favorites from Philly to NY, and of course, Boston! Very good Italian food, well prepared with homemade fettuccine. There are a few South American touches on the menu thanks to Bolivian ownership including Bolivian and Peruvian empanadas -- a fine first course. Good wine list and well-made martinis. Service was excellent, the room comfortable. This was our third visit.

Our Bartender was excellent! The food was amazing! We got the steak and eggs and the breakfast wrap! Absolutely amazing!! Can’t wait to go back! But the star was the lemon ricotta donuts served warm with homemade jam!!!
