WC Bloomsbury, Clapham's Sister venue continues the legacy of beguiling and bewitching spaces, descending from unassuming entrances on pedestrian level in an Ex Victorian Water Closet. Listed on Historic England’s 'buildings at risk register’ we have preserved and respected the 120 year old space, paying homage to the surrounding area’s rich history, creating a warm and inviting wine, cocktail and charcuterie bar.The venue offers rest and respite from the streets of London, with a considered drinks menu that has something for everyone - be that a glass from the thoughtful and eclectic wine list with over 30 sold by the glass or from a list of 16 signature cocktails.WC Bloomsbury’s food offering has been created to complement the drink selection. Poppies in Hanbury Street was Pop’s first restaurant and the one where the journey began. The retro-diner and takeaway is close to Pop’s heart as it brought 70year old Pat out of retirement. It fulfilled his lifelong dream of opening an East End chippie and a desire to offer customers a taste of the old East End.

Fran's is a neighbourhood caff on Wilton Way, offering British and Italian comfort food. All day English breakfast, fry ups, fresh handmade pasta. We welcome walk-ins throughout the day and take bookings for our evening menu from 5.30pm Thursday to Saturday. On Sunday we have our all day breakfast and weekend lunch menu until 3pm. We have our Wine Bar a few doors down, if you would like to visit pre dinner or while waiting for a table.Please be advised we do not take reservations for Breakfast or Lunch. Good value, informal neighbourhood restaurant run by a young, passionate team. The food is a real home cooked offering, accompanied by a reasonably price, well selected set of wines. Every mouthful is delicious, making it hard to choose from the small menu. The ragu was superb. You could taste the quality of the ingredients. Same with hot chocolate pot dessert. No fuss, no pretence. I'll definately be a regular here.

This venue is nothing short of amazing. You start your journey down the steps of a typical Victorian WC but having descended your greeted by attentive and happy staff. You can still see what the space was originally intended for but it’s been cleverly designed to be a sultry bar with cool music and a cocktail list to die for. The food was so tasty and accompanied the drinks beautifully. We were celebrating our 25 year being together and it was a memorable night where we can’t wait to return.
