Overall we had a great dinner experience with a good server. We really enjoyed most of the food we ordered. The mussels and goat cheese appetizers were very delicious. The swordfish fish and chips entree was loved by everyone at the table. Others at the table ordered the duck leg and Wagyu linguine and the short rib pot pie and they really enjoyed their entrees. The only dish that was less that expected was the wagyu flat iron steak as the teriyaki sauce was too salty and the portion size in comparison to the other dishes was too small for the price point. Overall we did enjoy our dinner experience and would dine here again.

My second time here, made to feel even more special than the first. The wait staff was, knowledgeable, prompt, attentive, professional and friendly. When asked for a suggestion, the selections were spot on. When asked for a personal opinion, they made answered insightfully with the customer in mind. And I can not speak enough of the GM Anna, who delightfully visited our table multiple times to make sure everything was perfect. The vibrant flavors compliment the subtly jubilant atmosphere and its five star staff. Good music, not so loud to drown out a conversation, yet not so quiet to uncomfortably hear the next table over. The lighting is easy on the eyes, but not too dark. And the creative cocktails are made with precision and care. Everything about this place exemplifies the joys of dining out. It is now my go-to restaurant to bring friends, dates, business dinners, etc. I cant wait to return.

We had an amazing meal last evening at Elske! We chose the “Set Menu” option to get a sampling of all the different options and we were not disappointed. Each course was unique and delicious and, although small plates, we were pleasantly full at the end of the meal. The ambiance was cozy and buzzy without being too loud. The service was kind, prompt and knowledgeable. They let me try a couple of red wines to have with my beef course! Overall, the experience was awesome and well worth the trek into the city!! Highly recommended!!!

We took our family with elementary school-aged children for dinner after watching Frozen at the Paramount Theater. We had a great table near the holiday tree and our server was extremely pleasant and prompt for the number of guests at dinner. The food options were varied and really tasty - and the kids devoured the mac & cheese and pasta with red sauce. I ordered the Fall Salad, which was delicious.

This has become our new Christmas Eve tradition! From the moment we walked in, the festive atmosphere was absolutely enchanting, with stunning Christmas decorations that added such a warm, cozy touch. The food was nothing short of spectacular—each dish was beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. The service was impeccable as well; our server was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. It's rare to find a place that excels in every area, but the Colonial Room at the Drake in Oakbrook truly does. Whether you're here for a holiday gathering or just a special meal, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend!
