Beautiful decorated for the Christmas season. Sat in the enclosed outer area. Service was excellent. Matt, our waiter was very attentive The sushi rolls (Smokey Mountain and Black Widow) were colorful and very tasty. The entrees, the Scallop + Shrimp combo plus the Branzzino over the Mushroom Risotto with a Lemon Butter sauce was wonderful. The scallops were perfectly cooked , juicy and reasonably sized. The Branzzino was nicely seasoned and paired well with the Mushroom risotto. The Christmas cocktails were decadent - if you like chocolate and had a sweet tooth, you’d love them. When you step inside you are treated like a king and queen. The staff was so accommodating and the room was quaint. If you cherish a Victorian experience, then this is the place for you. The food was outstanding. We celebrated my son’s birthday who was born on Christmas. The entire room joined in to sing “Happy Birthday!” This made his day.

Had a Christmas eve dinner here. This is truly one of my fave places. NEVER disappointed. Excellent food and always superior service. Jane is one of my favorite servers!!

We dine at the Poached Pear a few times a year. It is a favorite among our friends for fine dining. Service is always attentive and efficient without being overbearing. Entrees are plentiful and delicious. Prices are in line with other fine dining establishments $$$$ justified by consistentl quality food. BYOB

We had the bacon and octopus appetizer and they were fabulous. The Caesar salad with salmon was ok, did not have a lot of flavor. The steak and lobster tail was very good as well as the table side bananas foster.
