Lovely experience, good service, price and quality.

Loved where we were seated downstairs in a corner (though i think i'd choose upstairs next time) The tables however were very small and tightly packed together to properly enjoy an afternoon tea. I have definitely had afternoon teas in grander surroundings. The food was lovely and service also excellent. Particulary great was the inclusion of crême bruleé. Have never seen that on an afternoon tea before anywhere and i do love a crême bruleé! Good teapots, always essential. Just marking down slightly as, for a proper posh tea experience, you really want a table large enough to fit everything on comfortably and a wider space around your table.

Every dish was lovely with special mention to the Venison and doughnuts. Prices were a revelation compared to London so value for money was excellent.

As a group of 4 who all ordered a variety of dishes we felt slightly rushed and we didn’t think the fish dishes were of the quality we were expecting and we felt it was expensive for what we had. The cleanliness of the loos needed attention. For a person that normally leaves excellent reviews I’m sorry this review couldn’t be better

What’s not to like? The food and wine both delicious and staff attentive and friendly
