Pastas, bread, stocks and sauces are all made in-house and include the ever-popular Gnocchi di Luigi - house-made pasta served with napoli and ricotta or the Spaghettini al Granchio – cherry tomato, zucchini, crab meat, lobster bisque, chile.The Gradi menu has over 15 selections of Neapolitan pizza combinations from the Margherita Versace, to standouts such as the popular Suprema - pizza in bianco, fior di latte, pumpkin, rocket, pinenuts and goat cheese or the Quattro Formaggi - bianco, fior di latte, grana Padano, and Emmental. The differential of 400 Gradi’s pizzas are that the dough and toppings are authentically prepared according to strict Neapolitan standards.

Campisi's Downtown is owned and operated by David Campisi and his family. The restaurant has a long and storied history, beginning in 1946 when David's great-grandfather bought a bar with a small kitchen and began making pizzas - the first ever in Dallas. Today, Campisi's Downtown still makes its famous pizza (you can even build your own if you like), and also serves up a huge array of pasta dishes, salads, appetizers and entrées. For dessert, try the tiramisu or Italian cream cake.

Campisi's is an Italian restaurant with multiple locations throughout Texas. The secret to this restaurant's success is its commitment to being a family run business using family recipes. Campisi's began in 1946 just after World War II by Carlo Campisi and today is run by David Campisi his grandson. Today the restaurant focuses on large party banquet style service as well as off-site catering.
Campisi's banquet menu options include both buffet and seated menus. Many of these variations have similar items on them. Diners will find all sorts of Italian comfort food on the pages including shrimp scampi, baked artichoke hearts, toasted beef and cheese ravioli, crab claws, grilled Italian sausage and peppers, stuffed mushrooms, spinach artichoke dip, tomato bruschetta, calamari and olive tapenade.
Service was outstanding. Jason was very knowledgeable about the menu and explaining the source of many items. I personally did not care for the breading on the calamari but the squid itself had a wonderful chewy texture. We split a pizza and the crust had a flavor and oven char. Clear winner!
Our evening at the Charles was absolutely the way all dining experiences should be… warm welcome .. attentive knowledgeable waitstaff ..amazing food ..perfection!
