Campisi's Downtown is owned and operated by David Campisi and his family. The restaurant has a long and storied history, beginning in 1946 when David's great-grandfather bought a bar with a small kitchen and began making pizzas - the first ever in Dallas. Today, Campisi's Downtown still makes its famous pizza (you can even build your own if you like), and also serves up a huge array of pasta dishes, salads, appetizers and entrées. Campisi's is an Italian restaurant with multiple locations throughout Texas. The secret to this restaurant's success is its commitment to being a family run business using family recipes. Campisi's began in 1946 just after World War II by Carlo Campisi and today is run by David Campisi his grandson. Today the restaurant focuses on large party banquet style service as well as off-site catering. Campisi's banquet menu options include both buffet and seated menus. Many of these variations have similar items on them.
