Houston’s Café Rabelais serves sumptuous French cuisine in its classic, European-inspired eatery. Fantastic starter options include the mouth-watering smoked salmon plate, the white bean and vegetable soup, as well as a variety of decadent cheese plates. Café Rabelais’s specialty dinner entrées include the seared duck breast with Szechuan demi-glace, the seared snapper in rich beurre blanc, the vegetarian orzo pasta with purple cauliflower and feta cheese and the red wine marinated ribeye with eggplant. Top off your Café Rabelais French feast with an unforgettable dessert, like the mixed nut and chocolate silk pie “fondant au chocolate sur croute de noix” or the fruity “sorbet du jour” and wash it down with a fresh, hot espresso.

CASE Chocolates is the world's first chocolate and cocktail speakeasy. Our tasting experiences take you through fine and unique cacaos combined with high-end spirits and cocktails. Our space is meant to spark delight and joy, and we can't wait to welcome you in soon!Our promise is a one-of-a-kind journey through chocolates in an unforgettable atmosphere.Please arrive on time for the best experience. Plan ahead as parking is limited to a small lot and street parking. You must enter through Sampson St., Suite E. No-shows and cancellations less than 24 hours in advance will be subject to a charge of $68 per person. Each tasting comes with 3 cocktail and chocolate pairings. Tastings start at 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm Wednesdays and Thursdays and 6:30 pm, 8:30 pm, and 10:30 pm Fridays and Saturdays and are approximately 90 minutes per tasting.

    I absolutely loved this experience and will be gifting it to my brother and his wife. What I appreciated most was that it wasn’t overly romantic—it could be, but it wasn’t by default. I attended with a friend because we both love drinks and, more importantly, chocolate. The host was incredibly knowledgeable, taking us on an adventure through the history and geography of each piece of chocolate. It was well worth the time and money for a fun outing with a friend. I do wish they would add a mead-related drink to the menu. Given their deep knowledge of chocolate, it would be great to also learn about honey, which holds significant cultural importance—just like chocolate. I believe this would a great pair for chocolate.

    This is hands down one of my favorite places to eat in Houston! The food is ALWAYS phenomenal and the service and atmosphere is PERFECT. The food is perfection and the wine list is EXTENSIVE! We enjoyed the pre-set menu last night for Valentine's day. The chateaubriand was prepared perfectly - flaky pastry and the tenderloin was delightful! We have spent many special occasions at Cafe Rabelais and look forward to many more. Our family loves it! Yours will too.

    The food and service was excellent. My best friend and I went for dinner Firsay evening. The food was so good we went back for breakfast on Sunday.
