Dining at The Old Deanery is an immersive experience, and you move through the building as you dine. Arrive into the cosy welcome lounge for pre-dinner drinks; chat, get comfortable, and relax – there will be no classical piano and hushed tones in here! Move through to the bar where you can watch some of the chefs work before they invite you to take your first course. The main event takes place in the restaurant, but forget white tablecloths and stilted service; the food may be formal but the atmosphere is not. Finally, you can retire after dinner to a cosy chair and enjoy a coffee and petits fours. Stay the night and enjoy views of either the lovely garden, or striking Cathedral. Then wake to a home-made breakfast board of granola, yoghurt, continental bites, and cooked goodness: A breakfast with a difference and the best way to sign off your stay.

We serve a great selection of pub classics, using as much produce from the nearby Ripley Castle Estate & Gardens as possible. Our chefs are constantly inspired to create special dishes to take advantage of the 2000 acre Estate and extensive Walled gardens produce.We serve a selection of popular local real ales and have guest beers on a regular basis including some rare gems, so there is always a reason to pop into the bar.There is a well structured and varied wine list suitable for all levels of wine drinker from affordable afternoon drinking through to more powerful and exquisite wines, which can be matched to our dishes to create a full dining experience.We cater for any number of guests from couples to larger parties, families and dog friendly tables in the bar. The Springs Restaurant and Bar are located within the Crowne Plaza Harrogate, centrally located next door to the Harrogate Convention centre.Springs gives you the choice and flexibility of where to eat, whether it's in our 1st floor Springs Restaurant, or the Springs Bar situated on the ground floor by reception. Wherever you choose to eat you will enjoy extensive and delicious menus and great customer service . The Springs Restaurant is open daily for breakfast and dinner, where as the Springs Bar opens at 10am and serves food all day from 12 noon. Our Head Chef is Binoy Michale who joined us in August 2021 after working in Harrogate for 20 years. Binoy has brought a wealth of expertise to the hotel and his brigade of chefs offer a high standard of dishes.

Amazing Sunday lunch, we sat in the bar area as we had a dog with us. A little bit noisy due to families enjoying themselves, but not unbearable. Looking forward to a return visit.
