We were dined and wined to our complete satisfaction. Our server, having overheard a remark from our friend, presented us with complimentary glasses of “bubbly” to celebrate our anniversary. The service was excellent and we enjoyed our salad, main and dessert courses as they arrived in a timely fashion. The presentation was impeccable. We departed sated and happy and will return. Our only negative impression was the recorded music playing. The content was banal and the level varied throughout the evening, causing the volume of conversation to rise and fall accordingly, so talking with each other was sometimes difficult. Musicians, perhaps, could judge the room requirements, but why is music necessary?
