Chef Robert Maher conceptualized the name Maison Cheryl for his business partners late wife, Cheryl Glaessner, who passed in 2019. Cheryl’s warm spirit and love of the Parisian aesthetic are both elements that Maher has channeled into our inclusive French New-American Bistro. Great evening out. The Country Fried Steak is a superb addition to the menu, please make it a permanent fixture. There are some wines which are about to be discontinued, the two mentioned last night were favorites of ours. The new, recommendations were nice. Since the restaurant moved we noticed the tables and booths are not as comfortable as in the original location.

Another delightful Thanksgiving dinner at La Bise. It was a toss-up as to which starter was better: the roasted leeks with sauce beurre blanc or the pate de foie gras. The mains, turkey roulade and steak frites, were their usual excellent offerings. And the desserts, pumpkin mousse pie and carrot cake were decadent endings. The staff was attentive and willing to substitute sorbet for dessert for one of our group who (wisely) realized he'd be too full to enjoy cake or pie. We'll have to find an opportunity to return before next Thanksgiving!

We were very pleasantly surprised with what a gem of a dining experience this was. We selected mostly on location which was very convenient to our hotel. The staff were all very attentive. We had a gluten allergy diner and they not only suggested already gluten free meals but modified a meal (mussels) to be gluten free. They even carry GF bread. All of our meals were quite good from the grilled octopus starter to the Vanilla Napoleon dessert.
