The ground level is reserved for classic dinner experience while the mezzanine level hosts Cabaret Nights from Tuesday to Sunday or private functions at request.Former TV chef Marc Kuzma (aka Claire de Lune) lets his talents shine at his Darlinghurst venture. Step through the doors from Oxford Street, and enter a world of glamour, decadence and French chic. Soaring ceilings, imported wallpapers, glittering chandeliers, white linen, black Louis XV chairs and French antiques will make you feel like you're world's away from the chaos of the bustling street outside. Established in 2017 by Executive Chef, Thomas Cauquil and Brewery Director, Vincent De Soyres, Frenchies Bistro & Brewery specialises in creating food and drinks for friends, all in a relaxed, casual, and unique setting, where customers have the option to dine surrounded by brewing tanks.Leaning on fresh, local, seasonal produce, the duo create all of their products in-house, from smoked and cured meats and hand rolled pastas, to Frenchies' award-winning beers and spritzes.Thomas and Vince first met at Albert de Mun Hotel and Catering School in Paris in 2005. From there, Thomas went on to work at Michelin star restaurants including Le Violon d’Ingres* in Paris and El Chaflán in Madrid, meanwhile Vince set his sights on Australia, and moved from Ninkasi Brewery in Lyon to the Little Brewing Co. in Port Macquarie in 2010, followed by the Flat Rock Brew Café. Thomas joined Vince in Australia in 2013, and they transformed their dream into a reality with the opening of Frenchies.

Best Barramundi ever! The chefs know exactly how to cook this fish to perfection. Hazel restaurant is set in this most lovely setting of Hazlehurst Gallery, away from the bustle and busyness of the 'Shire'. The very recent revamp and renovation of the restaurant is lovely and appealing. I understand still some minor signage work to finish off. As an outsider a large, clear 'Hazel' sign will help patrons arriving. I understand this is happening. Staff go out of their way to accommodate patrons. I was impressed.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, food incredible! We asked to move to a nicer table and it was all fine, slight mistake with the bill that was quickly sorted. Again food is incredible!
