The Bottle Boy began life in 1860, and was primarily known as a Spirit Grocers. A quirk of a Spirit Grocers was that you couldn’t sit down and beer was sold in bottles brought to you by The Bottle Boy. Whilst we’ve retained tonnes of the original detail – like the cornices, fireplaces, flooring – we’ve added in cosy snugs and lots of seating, perfect for a pint of plain. The Bleeding Horse is a historically significant public house located in Upper Camden Street, Dublin, Ireland. It dates at least back to the 17th century, and was located on St. Kevin’s Port (now Camden St.) at the junction of two important highways leading out of the city.On one side was Charlotte St., leading to Ranelagh and Donnybrook; on the other side was Old Camden St., which joined Richmond St. and led to Rathmines and Cullenswood. Both of these old streets disappeared during the renovations in the 1990s. The present building dates from 1871; the interior was renovated in 1992.There are (at least) two explanations for the name. One is that when a horse got the “staggers” it was bled by a farrier at the inn. Another is that the name of the pub comes from an incident during the Battle of Rathmines in 1649, when a wounded horse fled from the battle.

The overall experience is brilliant, there was live music on which made it even better. The steak which you cook yourself is unbelievable. The staff are lovely particularly the blonde lady who I think was the manager, very welcoming and chatty. Would definitely recommend it!

First time to eat here and I couldn’t fault anything , food was lovely great value for money . Girl serving table was so helpful and made sure everything was good for us. I think her name was Hannah . Will definitely be back here again.

Was a regular chop house diner for over 10 years, and this was our first visit to the Cow. Really great to see Joe and the team still there. Food was amazing as usual and service was top class. By far our favourite restaurant in Dublin.

This was my first time at the new venue and it was wonderful- the place was buzzing, we were greeted on arrival by the wonderful owner, the service was amazing, prompt yet not intrusive, I had spicy prawns followed by salmon - delicious! So so so glad we went! I’ll be back next time I’m in Ireland!
