The Rabbits is a family friendly gastro pub & restaurant in the heart of the essex countryside. We pride ourselves on good friendly service and good quality homecooked food with our seasonal menus, we serve real ales, fine wines & premium spirits. We have a great beer garden where you can take in the picturesque views whilst not having to go too far to order any food or drink as this can all be done at our garden bar which is also playing background music around our garden, this is open Thurs-Sunday throughout the spring/summer weather permitting. The Parakeet is a wonderful local, the room is buzzy and cool, the food excellent and staff great. This time, I had a guest with a number of food intolerances and our waiter and the chef annotated what would work and what can be altered. This resulted in a great meal for a difficult eater so thanks! We enjoyed the wine by the glass too as there was a wide range available. A great experience.

Exceptionally done modern British food. The service was flawless, which is impressive considering it opened only a few weeks ago. The Sunday menu was solid, with the highlights being the scotch egg, as well as celeriac. The vibe is nice, lively without being too noisy. A place where you can actually enjoy the food and chat.

We had a lovely stay here, the rooms are beautifully decorated and beds far to comfy The food was amazing, the staff lovely and very welcoming would definitely recommend and come again The hotel certainly is 5 star!!

Tasty food, good prices, nice atmosphere. We went for a Sunday roast with my family and sat at the upper floor which was more quiet. The service was great and the food and wine was very nice.
