The Hemingway is a good quality pub that serves delicious no-nonsense grub.You can see every dish being made to order in our open plan kitchen- no soggy microwaved frozen meals here! We take great care in sourcing our produce direct from the best suppliers both locally and abroad. Our menu is a mix of classic crowd pleasers and regularly changing seasonal dishes, which means you'll always find something to tempt your taste buds (even if you're in every day!).We are a pub, not a cocktail bar and while we make a blinding Bloody Mary, and will happily mix you an Aperol Spritz or Negroni, we don't do Pina Coladas. That said, we are extremely proud of our wide range of spirits from around the globe, which (where possible) we offer at affordable prices. The wine list has been chosen to provide a simple but high quality selection that goes as well with our food as it does with some good company.

The Marquee Moon - a new restaurant, cocktail & HiFi bar from the team behind The Cause & All My Friends. Set over 2 floors, expect an eclectic sharing menu based on a twist of contemporary pub classics - with an emphasis on East Asian flavours, complemented by a refined and inventive cocktail offering. Fire led modern European cooking, served in a warm vibrant dining room. Reservations open on the 1st of each month for the following month, for groups up to 6 guests. Bookings for January will open on the 1st of December at 10am. For larger groups please email bookings@theparakeetpub.com. We serve our A la Carte menu Monday to Saturday, and Roasts on Sundays.

    The food, vibe, and service were all great. We came for the Indian infused roast dinner - pork belly & cauliflower cheese were standouts. The smaller roast potatoes were a great balance of crispy and fluffy. There were a couple of minor grips: peas were cold, and the trimmings on the menu didn't match those served - parsnips and chard were seemingly replaced with carrots and peas. Both were tasty, but unfortunately the side of carrots was excessive as a result. It's pretty annoying to do, but if the parsnips aren't delivered in time it's worth either reprinting the menus or having staff mention the deviations to expect from the menu. Either way, I'll be coming back to eat the entirety of the regular menu!

    Naughty food, served in a size that doesn’t make you feel guilty. WINNING. Do not miss the potato dumplings with beef shin, crispy mutton belly, and the leeks… oh Lordy… let me lick that plate! And defo have the cheese AND both sweet desserts. You will get FOMO otherwise. As it’s a ‘come as it’s ready’ type affair, you’ll want to share all the dishes or get 2, so you don’t feel like you’re missing out or waiting. Floor manager is an angel, as are the other waiting staff, and Chef was sooo lovely too. Defo going back!!!
