Taxim, which is located in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood, features regionally-inspired Greek dishes paired with an all-Greek wine list. The stunning dining room is fitted with soaring 16-foot ceilings, travertine marble floors, dramatic Byzantine-style lamps and artwork, and the rooftop dining area lined with Greek flowering herbs.The restaurant was chosen as one of of Chicago's Best New Restaurants in 2009/2010 by the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Magazine and the Chicago Reader.     Jacob and his team were very conscientious of our time with friend; they were respectful and not pushy. The new menu additions are outstanding. The chef….I can’t say enough about the options, ingredients and palatable cuisine. This Mediterranean restaurant knows how to entertain, offer the ambience and vibe, serve its customers and keep us coming back!

    My husband and I live in the same town as Donny G's. It was our 1st time there. What a gem. We will be back. The service from the minute we hit the door was outstanding. The drinks and food were so good. We savoured every bite of both our meals. We had the whitefish and rotini w/ meatballs in parm. sauce. The bread and oil/cheese appetizer was yummy. The Pasta Fagioli soup, and Cesar's salad were spot on. We were so pleased and couldn't say enough. It is so hard to get a good meal for the value nowadays. We can't wait to bring our family there. The waitress was warm and friendly. I have a feeling this will become our "go to place" Give it a try, you will be pleasantly pleased.
