Taxim, which is located in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood, features regionally-inspired Greek dishes paired with an all-Greek wine list. The stunning dining room is fitted with soaring 16-foot ceilings, travertine marble floors, dramatic Byzantine-style lamps and artwork, and the rooftop dining area lined with Greek flowering herbs.The restaurant was chosen as one of of Chicago's Best New Restaurants in 2009/2010 by the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Magazine and the Chicago Reader. Additionally, Taxim's housemade yogurt with young favas and lamb confit was selected as one of the Best Bites of 2009 by the Chicago Reader, the house-cured sardines were mentioned in Time Out Chicago's 2009 "100 Best Things We Ate (and drank) This Year" feature, and the wood-grilled octopus was selected as 2010's "Best New Dish" by Chicago magazine.     I have to give credit where it’s due, Donny G’s truly turned my experience around! After a previous visit that left me unsure, they went above and beyond to make things right, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with genuine hospitality, and it was clear they cared about making my experience exceptional. The service was outstanding, our waitress was not only attentive but also warm and friendly, making sure everything was perfect. And the food? Absolutely out of this world! Every bite was flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. It’s rare to see a restaurant take feedback seriously and go the extra mile to improve, but Donny G’s did just that. This was a complete 360 from my last visit, and I’m happy to say they’ve completely won me over. If you’re looking for amazing food and top-notch service, give Donny G’s a try, you won’t be disappointed! PS. Huge shoutout to the Manager Marco for making things right!

    Great neighborhood restaurant for lunch. There are three different bowls..veggie, chicken and shrimp..each more delicious than the next. And an amazing three course special. A gem!
