Taxim, which is located in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood, features regionally-inspired Greek dishes paired with an all-Greek wine list. The stunning dining room is fitted with soaring 16-foot ceilings, travertine marble floors, dramatic Byzantine-style lamps and artwork, and the rooftop dining area lined with Greek flowering herbs.The restaurant was chosen as one of of Chicago's Best New Restaurants in 2009/2010 by the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Magazine and the Chicago Reader. Founded in 1969 by brothers Peter and Taki Adamis, the Glenview location quickly became THE popular dining destination.     Excellent evening! We were a large party and our dinner and service was perfection. Everyone really enjoyed their meals (which varies between traditional, lamb and fish dishes), but I can personally recommend the mussels, the Andros salad (I ordered the half and it was still large!), and the mousse for dessert. Yummy!

    Wonderful server delicious food and fun atmosphere - as it got busy if got on the loud side which was tolerable for me but might’ve been less so for my parents if I had brought them with me so it worked out that I hadn’t - I can understand why it’s a popular place and not much they can do about the noise when you get a few big happy parties arriving at the same time - lots of birthdays celebrations besides my own - pretty awesome they don’t go over the top the sparkles last just the right amount of time per person to keep it fun anytime they bring that to any table.

    I haven't been here for many years so I'm not sure when the update was done, but the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous! Our server was awesome and the food was excellent!! I had the stuffed chicken breast... outstanding!! Every dish was cooked to perfection! My son had the fish of the day with table side deboning. I can guarantee he will be talking about the fish for a long time to come!

    Excellent food and great ambience. Service was a little on the slow side particularly since it was not busy. However, we were just hanging out, so it wasn't really an issue. Highly recommended.

    My husband and I live in the same town as Donny G's. It was our 1st time there. What a gem. We will be back. The service from the minute we hit the door was outstanding. The drinks and food were so good. We savoured every bite of both our meals. We had the whitefish and rotini w/ meatballs in parm. sauce. The bread and oil/cheese appetizer was yummy. The Pasta Fagioli soup, and Cesar's salad were spot on. We were so pleased and couldn't say enough. It is so hard to get a good meal for the value nowadays. We can't wait to bring our family there. The waitress was warm and friendly. I have a feeling this will become our "go to place" Give it a try, you will be pleasantly pleased.
