Goldies’ menu focuses on the use of a wood-fired grill, with a selection of small and large plates connected by rich, smoky flavours. Highlights include a Marinated Baby Chicken with smoked yoghurt, the incredible BBQ Corn mixed in a delicious Parsley Butter and the unique Goldies Burger. In a nod to the founders’ French roots, variations of the iconic Frites are the signature of the restaurant, which are hand-cut and twice-cooked, in either beef dripping or vegetable oil.The design of the space is centred on the expertise of wood-fired cooking, with kitchen counter seating to create a dramatic dining experience for guests. The interiors are cosy and vibrant, with contemporary decoration, terracotta warm tones and a groovy musical atmosphere. Goldies features a noteworthy terrace that fits 30 guests.

The Connaught Grill, once one of London’s most celebrated restaurants, has returned to The Connaught giving a respectful nod to its distinguished heritage. Design of the restaurant is led by interior architect John Heah with a strong focus on art and craftsmanship complete with extraordinary signature wall panels, tables and chairs made by Mira Nakashima bespoke for the space.Located on the ground floor of the hotel, the intimate 46-seat Connaught Grill is under the direction of internationally renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. This is his modern interpretation of a classic grill with an open kitchen complete with wood-burning grill and rotisserie offering the finest British sourced produce. The menu includes ingredients from Gillardeau oysters and Dover sole to British game and Wagyu beef along with an exceptional wine list drawn from The Connaught wine cellar.

    This is a lovely little Italian restaurant in the heart of Covent Garden. We booked the pre-theatre experience, but when we arrived, the manager said we could choose anything from the menu and they would ensure we were served quickly. We chose a Caprese salad, a Bruschetta and dough balls to start and they were all delicious, with wonderful fresh ingredients. The dishes were brought out very quickly but without us feeling rushed. We all had pizzas for our main course and they were delicious Neapolitan pizzas with generous toppings. Overall, despite only having 75 minutes before our show started, we had a very enjoyable meal.

    Fantastic cocktails with some great twists on the classics. The food was well presented and tasted great, there wasn’t a dish that we didn’t enjoy. The steak was delicious and we were surprised how much we liked the Japanese bread. The service was great in a relaxed atmosphere.
