Barbeque grew up in the South of the USA where cooks learned to slow roast cuts of meat over fire pits to make them tender. Exposure to the smoke of the smouldering wood added a distinctive smoky taste to the meat. The process could take many hours, leaving the meat tender and juicy.Our award-winning smokers have been imported from the USA and are built to recreate the cooking process of those original fire pits. We smoke for up to 16 hours using the traditional American woods of hickory and mesquite to give a full smoke flavour.

A no nonsense Brick Lane curry house, Sheba was the setting of the Peter Kay commercial for John Smiths. It’s not difficult to see why the producers chose this restaurant out of so many. Opened in 1972, it has long been the epitome of the family run Indian restaurant. Having undergone several improvements over the years, Sheba is contemporary and smart, decorated in a fiery red with Bollywood movies playing on the big screen. A host of awards and accolades are proof of Sheba’s ability to produce what is widely accepted to be the best Indian, Bangladeshi and Pakistani cuisine on Brick Lane, with connoisseurs returning time and again to sample fine vegetarian, meat and indeed seafood dishes. A great evening at KARV. We booked for my husband's birthday and happy to say it was absolutely worth the hour + drive. A nice intimate restaurant, tables a good distance away. The service from staff was spot on. They were attentive without being over bearing. We ordered both tacos and the marrow and the were delicious. The flavours of the tacos were nice and the slaw and sauces complemented the meats. The marrow was (if I may say) sublime! The combinations of flavours was just an explosion in the mouth and perfect with the toast! We ordered the platter for 4 which was a perfect size. Both steak were perfectly cooked/seasoned, the mash melted in the mouth, chips were crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. The chicken wings were nicely spiced with a tangy undertone. The chicken was a nice size and tasted nice and had a lovely charred taste, All in all I would definitely be back and would recommend it.
