Goldies’ menu focuses on the use of a wood-fired grill, with a selection of small and large plates connected by rich, smoky flavours. Highlights include a Merguez Scotch Egg with harissa mayonnaise, Marinated Baby Chicken with smoked yoghurt, and Grilled Wild Mushrooms, Baby Leek, and a confit egg yolk. In a nod to the founders’ French roots, variations of the iconic Frites are the signature of the restaurant, which are hand-cut and twice-cooked, in either beef dripping or vegetable oil.The design of the space is centred on the expertise of wood-fired cooking, with kitchen counter seating to create a dramatic dining experience for guests. The interiors are cosy, with contemporary decoration, terracotta warm tones and a groovy musical atmosphere. Goldies features a noteworthy terrace that fits 30 guests.

The Connaught Grill, once one of London’s most celebrated restaurants, has returned to The Connaught giving a respectful nod to its distinguished heritage. Design of the restaurant is led by interior architect John Heah with a strong focus on art and craftsmanship complete with extraordinary signature wall panels, tables and chairs made by Mira Nakashima bespoke for the space.Located on the ground floor of the hotel, the intimate 46-seat Connaught Grill is under the direction of internationally renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. This is his modern interpretation of a classic grill with an open kitchen complete with wood-burning grill and rotisserie offering the finest British sourced produce. Great food, I had the Lamb Tacos for a starter and for the mains I had the Argentine Sirloin Steak (Medium) and fries. The steak was juicy and super tasty. The fries were addictive. All in all the food was amazing. The whole place had a happy friendly ambience. The customers all looked happy and we're enjoying their respective food orders. The place attracted a decent crowd as well, it was a family friendly place, The staff was also very friendly. I couldn't fault the place at all. Eating here was a pleasure. Good people making good food for good people in a good place 10/10

Quality restaurant. Great food. I am often made to feel odd for liking my steak well done and usually they come cremated but not here. I asked for my steak well done (no pink). When it arrived it was slightly pink but staff were fantastic and remedied the situation without making me feel uncomfortable or destroying the steak. it is really worth it for the quality of the food and friendliness of the staff members. By far the best restaurant we found in London.

We tried the lunch Manu, went for the burgers, although we also could've gone for picanha... the cheeseburger with bone marrow were superb!! I haven't had such a great burger in a long time!!! Beautiful ambiance and had the silky Malbec (las nubes) fab!!

Unusual to have to ring a bell to get into the restaurant, but did add to the homely feeling of the restaurant. Food was excellent and the wine list had enough choices. Enjoyed the evening here, maybe because it was quiet as there were only a few other guests.
