From the logo to the silverware, every single detail was thought out and it has a why behind it. Talking about our logo, we don’t call it just a logo; we wanted it to tell a story and that’s exactly how it turned out. As simple as it looks, it tells our story. The word “Ciccio” [pronounced CH EE – ch oh] means “sweetheart/an affectionate way of calling someone you love” in Italian, and that is exactly how he and his family feel about this place and what it represents to them.

    We had a great dining experience overall at Pie Tap Workshop + Bar in McKinney for my friend’s birthday. The ambience was lovely, the food was delicious (especially the chicken meatballs and BBQ Chicken Pie), and our server, Michael, was fantastic once he arrived, making up for an initial delay in service. My friend enjoyed the Blackberry Smash which was on Happy Hour! I had a Lemon drop for my first drink, I wasn’t impressed. After that I tried the espresso martini, which was ok. I think next time I’ll try the Blackberry Smash which. However, we couldn’t help but notice a stark contrast in attention given to different guests, particularly when the Mayor arrived. While we still enjoyed our time, a bit more consistency in guest engagement from management would go a long way.

    For Sunday mid day, it was so quiet we could talk and hear each other. Server, Alex, was very attentive and provided excellent service. The strawberry balsamic salad was fresh and delicious! The Tuscan scrambler had just the right amount of heat, but not too much. Great experience!
