Sister is a restaurant project from Duro Hospitality. Sister will live in the halls of the famed Grape, a Dallas icon for over 40 years. She will serve loosely Italian-inspired neighborhood fare, wood-fired meats and fish, daily house made pasta, and lightly Mediterranean inspired cuisine. The design will feel like a family Trattoria that has grown through the years including collected memorabilia giving the space a quirky and playful feeling. Sister will be a relaxed and comfortable neighborhood spot for every day. Sister is open seven nights per week.

Carbone is Chef Mario Carbone’s homage to the great Italian American restaurants of mid-20th century in New York, where delicious, exceptionally well-prepared food was served in settings that were simultaneously elegant, comfortable and unpretentious. His food captures the essence of that history but takes its culinary cues from the kitchens of his childhood, the great talents with whom he worked throughout his early career and incorporates his signature techniques that blend familiar and bold flavors to create the most craveable dishes.     Truly delectable. Salads are huge and should be split 2 or 3 ways. The five of us each ordered a different entree and each was very happy with our choice. Pasta dishes are small enough that, if ravenous, I could have eaten a meat course too in true Italian style.

    The Charles has the BEST Customer Service, hands down! EVERYONE was super polite, attentive, engaging and personable. Our server, Chelsey, gave the best feedback, learned our names, and even took beautiful pics for us. She's awesome & if she's a trainer for The Charles, then I know more wonderful servers will be produced. The ambiance was gorgeous, nice music, just the right amount of light, and the food was very flavorful. The "off the menu" items were delicious, especially the specialty pasta one of the young ladies made. Definitely a place to try!

    Food was wonderful ambience was beautiful and Christian the manager and Brodie one of the servers were exceptional . I had the pear cocktail that was on happy hour and my boyfriend had the Negroni. I also had a glass of the Pinot Noir that was for happy hour and also the rosé Prosecco was absolutely delicious. We had the fettuccine Bolognese and the bruschetta. shrimp cocktail appetizer was just OK for the price but very good for the taste

    The team that works at this establishment take pride in their craft and it shows. The service, food and ambiance was divino. My only regret was not taking photos of the items but I was in the moment. I believe Kyle was our server and he exceeded our expectations. I will definitely come back the next time I’m in town.
