The menu is decidedly Italian and the dishes are served beautifully plated and with chefs flair n flavor. Top scores all around. The service, though normally attentive, was off this evening and in fact mostly non existent, unpleasant and unaccomodating. Our guest list grew to almost 70 people and we wanted to find a location which can accommodate a group of this size while providing a more intimate private setting. We discussed our desire with Bene and he was willing to open the restaurant on a Monday (typically closed) and allow us to use the main dining area. We were also able to offer limited dining options (fish, meat or vegetarian with appetizers), allowing us to go into the event with a budget. What a wonderful experience. Dolce Bene provided a full staff to provide the highest level of service, we used the bar area for drinks and later deserts, and the food was amazing as usual. We wanted to have the homemade gnocchi to share as an appetizer, but they ended up not having it. We ended up sharing the lobster ravioli, which was good. For our entrees we had the seafood risotto, which was excellent, the cod special (which was good but very small piece of fish), chicken dish and the yellowfin tuna special (was just ok).
