We play off the similarities between the climates of Eastern Ontario and Northeast Italy, and create our take on classic dishes made with seasonal game, seafood and vegetables. Retrogusto is a pizzeria and bar that brings some much needed excitement to the north end of Preston street. We serve a Roman style pizza "Tonda", traditional roman fried snacks, salumi, cheeses and other small plates. Our food will be complimented by a small wine list that will be in constant rotation, strictly Italian classic cocktails, and beautiful amaro's from around Italy. The warm, cozy, dimly lit dining room with an open kitchen will be the perfect place to do the only thing that matters; eat good food, drink good wine and have a good time with friends.

    An amazing experience overall. Bar seats with attentive and informative service with Quinn. Superbly crafted cocktails made with slight adjustments to meet our tastes. The menu is limited but offers amazing tastes for every palate. Plates are shareable, food is expertly prepared and delicious. Butternut squash mezzaluna steals the show!

    Food was delicious and the drinks from the bar were fabulous! I let the staff choose my food - it was delicious and excellent cocktail and wine pairing. The staff were great about coming around to ensure we were well taken care of

    Excellent all around service. Our reservation was in place and we were welcomed in a very professional manner. This was a family united together after 5 years separation. Personally I am not a fan of pasta dishes but overall everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. The atmosphere was just as we wanted... to allow us to carry on a verbal conversation without having to yell to be heard. We had an outstanding evening of meal and socializing. Thank you, much appreciated! rw
