We really enjoyed our evening at the sparrow. My daughter and I dined there after a lovely evening looking at all the lights. The service was very good and we Weren’t rushed through our meal which can happen sometimes when you are a table of 2. The food was lovely , the dining room is very pretty and I would recommend it. Dining in London is pricy but this was the nicest meal we had during our stay.

The express lunch is amazing value for money: £36 pounds for 3 courses. Loved the prawns, the flat iron steak with rosemary roast potatoes, and the chocolate mousse.

Such a shame it’s closing, the food and service remain very strong but I can’t help feel that the menu both lacks the excitement and points of difference that it had when Socca first opened. The memory of the cuttlefish and tripe gratin I had on my first visit will last, even though the restaurant sadly has not…
