Located right by Clapham Common, Red Vine is a neighbourhood restaurant that celebrates Modern British food with a focus on wine. Only using local ingredients, owner Richard Herbert and Head Chef Julio Amado have created a delicious, seasonal British menu with a Mediterranean twist. Slow-cooked ox cheeks; deep-fried mussels served with aioli; and truffle tortelloni tossed in garlic butter all feature on the beautifully curated menu, which is divided into small plates and large plates. This is food that’s supposed to be lingered over. And with an uncomplicated wine list and creative cocktails, there are plenty of reasons to stay a little longer.The charming restaurant welcomes dogs and is beautifully decorated with colourful walls and original church pews. A conservatory in the back with stained glass windows and an enchanting garden will soon open for al fresco dining. A fabulous meal with family. Every dish was really enjoyed - scallops, lamb, tagiatelle, calves liver, caesar salad etc. Excellent service.

Great dinner experience with friends. Also had my 6 year daughter with me. Staff were accommodating. Was served by Maya who was friendly and courteous. Food was amazing as always

Delicious food and fantastic service as always. Disappointed to see that the aubergine is off the menu as this was my favourite vegetarian option! We ordered pretty much everything on the menu and it was all excellent. Great choice of wine too! Thank you to the staff for looking after us so well, especially as we weren't the only large group present.

Food was unreal and cocktails were unique. Live DJ was a nice touch as well. Didn’t give 5 stars because the restaurant was overcrowded and staff took a while to notice us. Perhaps it wasn’t table service - but that never was made clear to us, and the bill was brought to the table when we asked for it. The seating layout was awkward too, we were wedged in between two longer tables diagonally.

We always get treated like family here with a big welcome. We come from Chelsea to eat here regularly and it has become our not so local ‘local’. The food is excellent !
