With over 20 years of experience in the kitchen, Nicholas McCann, now Executive Chef of Society Cafe, has always been passionate about food. Drawing inspiration from his family recipes, Nicholas quickly fell in love with the culinary world at a young age and began his career at The French Culinary Institute in NYC. Since then, he has worked with some of the city’s most acclaimed chefs and restaurants, including working alongside Chef Luis Bollo of Salinas before moving on to become an Executive Chef at TESSA, The Milling Room, and Corkbuzz. At Society Cafe, Chef Nicholas flexes his creativity by bringing a fresh perspective to the restaurant’s ‘market-to-table’ concept. We present organic vegetarian and vegan fare rooted in the Ayurvedic tradition that meets us where we are today. Cuisines served range from Italian, Indian, Mediterranean and Asian, using Ayurvedic culinary principles to combine the right ingredients to support balance and enjoyment, through familiar yet unexpected dishes. Some of our most popular dishes include our Lasagna (both a vegetarian and vegan option), Vegetable Curry in Cashew Sauce, Carrot Risotto, Beet Hummus, Soothing Mung Soup, Avocado Toast (on homemade gluten free toast), and more. We also serve a unique Brunch menu with items like Sweet Waffles, Savory Waffles, and Vegetable Pancakes. Our beverages are all homemade everyday like our fresh limeades, shakes, teas and more. Please note we do not serve alcohol. We are currently serving outdoor/patio dining only during this time for lunch, brunch, and dinner. We look forward to serving you!

    The hostess was welcoming, attentive & all around fabulous...we ordered the buratta & the meatballs which was delicious, the Brussel sprouts were was too Al dente, the branzino was wonderful although small & the flavor of my steak was great but I'm one who from experience won't send a steak back when under cooked at a restaurant that's crazy busy, how a chef or server cannot see the difference between medium rare and medium well & delivers it after specifically being told no pink, no red, no blood is beyond me. Had I not waited on line behind 6 ppl to use the one bathroom I would have been there when my entree arrived. Without asking the server spoke to the manager & had the steak removed which was very thoughtful, however I would have preferred to eat my entree with my partner since it was our anniversary. We'll definitely try again on our next trip back home as everything else about this place was beautiful.
