The Bibendum Oyster Bar - a local stalwart - is steered masterfully under the direction of Lyon born 2 Michelin-starred chef Claude Bosi. The large tiled foyer of the great Michelin building remains, and it’s great for a glass of fizz and a few oysters (there are always many varieties to choose from), and also perfect to stay a bit longer for a more leisurely lunch or dinner. Expect plenty of fresh seafood; oysters, langoustine and the signature seafood platters - alongside a comprehensive yet affordable wine list. As well as dining inside the main "house", there are seats outside in the semi-open courtyard, and also in the prime spot of streetside on Fulham Road. If it does turn a little chilly, there are also some luxury blankets… Enjoy lunch, dinner and drinks at Bibendum.

The owner, Fons de Visscher was a respected fishmonger for 27 years in Helmond; a small city in the Netherlands, when he decided to start a new adventure. Driven by his passion for fish and great wines Fons created The Seafood Bar. The first restaurant opened its doors in 2012 in the Netherlands and now in 2021 we have opened our doors in London.From our fresh day boat Fish, Lobster's, Crab's, Oyster's to our larger than life seafood platters, all our food is sourced sustainably. Came in on the final service of 2024 for my dad’s birthday with my family. From the outset we were very well looked after by the knowledgable and charming Jacob. A model example of how to come across friendly and attentive without being at all overbearing. The food was absolutely sensational and despite my mother having a shellfish allergy, every care was taken to ensure her dining experience was not impeded. Truly exceptional food, a good wine list and very clever cooking going on in the kitchen. Couldn’t recommend higher and I wish Tom and the whole team all the success in the world for this venture.

Absolutely perfect family lunch with wonderful staff, fantastic food & wine & service. What a great & well needed place to have now in the area! Honestly we couldn’t fault a thing, even loved the glasses & plates so much - thoroughly recommend, took our teenage sons & we all loved it! Look forward to returning

A wonderful dinner for our honeymoon / first wedding anniversary. We’ve always wanted to come to Bibendum and we were so pleased that it was as lovely as we had hoped. We had the Bibendum burger which was delicious. Great service and a lovely little treat for our anniversary. Thanks!
